Position Summary
Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Marketing, the Event Services & Production Lead plays a dual role, combining technical production expertise with front-of-house and guest services leadership. This role is responsible for the seamless execution of all live events at the Bruce Guthro Theatre and the 3Sixty Lounge—from technical show setup and operation to ticketing and guest-facing coordination. Acting as the bridge between touring crews, venue staff, and guests, the Event Services & Production Lead ensures every event is delivered to the highest standard of professionalism, efficiency, and hospitality from load-in to tear down.
Key Accountabilities
- Advance and oversee all show setups, including audio, lighting, staging, and backline requirements. Operate sound boards, lighting systems, and related production equipment as required
- Book bands for Friday and Saturday night performances and manage all third-party event bookings and contracts
- Coordinate artist load-ins/outs and supervise technical crews on show day. Work directly with artists and touring crews to advance shows including tech advance, booking hotel rooms and scheduling runner and confirming hospitality
- Maintain venue equipment and identify needs for upgrades and repairs; Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly and effectively
- Act as the primary on-site contact for artists, promoters, guests and touring crews
- Collaborate with Live Nation and the Marketing team to set up shows in the ticketing system (Ticketmaster). Manage ticketing operations, including on-sale timelines, seating charts, internal announcements, and ticket holds
- Lead day-of-show staff across both production and front-of-house teams
- Collect all show-related expenses and report to Finance and external partners as appropriate

Education and Qualifications
- Certificate in technical production or in another discipline pertinent to the job function or equivalent combination of education and experience with specialized training related to theatre or concert production, including lighting, sound, and/or digital media. 2-4 years of work experience preferred
- Experience in facility and event management in a production event environment.
- Solid computer and production technology skills; experience working with event management software, ticketing software and Office 365 an asset
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to interpret applicable codes, standards, guidelines and government legislation specifically the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System, Workplace Safety, and other safety certifications including fall arrest.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced, demanding, and timeline sensitive environment.
- Proven customer service, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work days, evenings and weekends including holidays, as required to support operational requirements.
Work Environment Considerations
Non-traditional work hours are required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, aligned with event schedules. Office-based work during non-show periods. Fast-paced, high-pressure environment during live events.
