In addition to the above, the Hospital offers laboratory, diagnostic imaging and mental health and addictions programs.

Job Listings
The Staffing Clerk is responsible for scheduling employees in accordance with Hospital needs and in compliance with Collective Agreements and policies as they pertain to remuneration, hours of work, scheduling of hours, replacement of employees and assignment of shifts. Unions include ONA, OPSEU, CUPE 904 and CUPE 4404. They also ensure that the use of cross-trained staff is facilitated. In addition, they are responsible for acknowledging the facility Mission Statement which highlights quality improvement, working in a safe manner in conformance with WHMIS regulations and must be knowledgeable of safe handling of hazardous materials.
Affiliation: Union – CUPE 4404
Rate of Pay: $28.731 - $32.973
Hours of Work: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday to Friday
Mandatory Requirements:
- Graduate from a recognized College or University with a degree or diploma in Business, Health Administration or equivalent
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, Outlook
- Experience and knowledge of scheduling / staffing procedures and union contracts
- Accuracy & attention to detail required to ensure schedules are accurate & up-to-date
- Excellent communication skills required as well as the ability to multitask
- Must have an excellent work record, including attendance
- Must demonstrate a commitment to ensure personal safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers and visitors
- Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in the organization
Assets:
- Demonstrated working knowledge with scheduling systems (i.e. UKG)
- Ability to speak and write in both official languages
Duties:

Attend nursing team leader meetings to discuss staffing concerns and issues
-
Create and monitor staffing schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels
-
Ensure accuracy of schedules to submit bi-weekly reports for payroll purposes
-
Ensure employee hours/schedules are updated accordingly and recorded accurately. This includes updating schedules based on sick calls, shift cancellations or changes, etc.

Prepares staffing schedules for Nursing, Registration and Health Records departments in accordance with Collective Agreements

Ensures assignments and appropriate training of staff to allow maintenance of skills

In conjunction with managers, review staffing requests as per availability of replacements and applicable to Collective Agreement provisions
