###Your Opportunity

Join a team that is shaping the future of programs and services across Conservation Halton’s Parks. As the Business Development Lead, you will play a key role in identifying growth opportunities, supporting data‑driven decision making, and strengthening business planning initiatives. Working closely with the Senior Manager, Programs & Services, you’ll combine analytical expertise, creativity, and collaboration to influence new concepts, support strategic planning, and contribute to the development of impactful, community‑oriented services. Your insights will help drive innovation, efficiency, and organizational success.

  • Conduct research, analysis, and data comparisons to support new business opportunities and strategic planning.
  • Develop business planning tools, models, and reports that enable informed decision making
  • Prepare professional presentations, reports, and supporting documents for senior leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Use analytical tools and AI‑based technology to uncover trends, identify efficiencies, and evaluate program performance.
  • Support the creation, documentation, and improvement of departmental processes, standards, and corporate memory systems.
  • Coordinate with various internal teams—including HR, Finance, IT, and PMO—to gather information and support project needs.
  • Track and maintain financial records, budget inputs, and procurement documentation (e.g., RFI/RFQ/RFP processes).
  • Assist with risk‑management tracking, inspections, and program documentation to support operational compliance.
  • Provide administrative and organizational support to the Senior Manager, Programs & Services
  • Support small‑scale project management efforts directly tied to business cases or initiatives under development.

###Your Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in business planning, analytics, or similar functions.
  • Post‑secondary certificate, diploma, or degree in Business, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Training or designations related to business development are an asset
  • Experience processing and interpreting data to develop professional, easily digestible business documents.
  • Advanced analytical capability, including familiarity with business analysis tools (SWOT, PEST, Diamond‑E, Balanced Scorecard).
  • High proficiency using Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (Excel, SharePoint, Lists, Loop, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot).
  • Experience using AI to support concept development, data presentation, and process efficiency.
  • Ability to prepare polished reports, presentations, and documents with clear visual and written communication. Experience developing business plans or business cases is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong curiosity, critical thinking, and the ability to propose options supported by data.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence timelines and outcomes in cross‑functional environments without formal authority.
  • Effective organizational and prioritization abilities; able to work under pressure in fast‑paced environments.
