Responsibilities The Biomedical Engineer leads capital projects and contributes actively in lifecycle management of the diagnostic equipment under their portfolio
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably Biomedical Engineering;
- Three years related experience, preferably within biomedical engineering in healthcare or industry environment.
- Working knowledge of project management principles and experience with RFP;
- Knowledge of engineering design principles, risk analysis methodologies (such as FMEA);
- Advanced computer skills spreadsheets, databases, graphics, statistics, engineering tools;
- Ability to effectively deal with competing priorities;
- Commitment to meeting timelines and ability to manage concurrent, multidisciplinary projects;
- Ability to diagnose and solve technical and/or system problems;
- Excellent communication skills and ability including written and presentation skills
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
- Master Degree in Biomedical or Clinical Engineering
- Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng.) or working towards it.
- Certification as a Clinical Engineer (CE)"
- Extensive experience in delivering Diagnostic Imaging projects
- Demonstrate understanding of image transfer and storage in Diagnostic Imaging field
- Demonstrate understanding of BSP procurement directives
- Experience in fleet management
- Experience with contract review and correction
- Understanding of Medical Device Cybersecurity Risk
- Good interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, adaptability and result oriented
- Work effectively in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision
- Good project management skills and ability to manage tight deadline.
