Toyota Canada Inc. currently has an exciting opportunity for a highly diligent and detail-oriented candidate to join our Finance & Accounting (F&A) team as a Consultant, Financial Analyst – Fixed Costs. This full-time role reports to the Manager, Corporate Financial Reporting and Fixed Costs and works closely with the Consultant, Financial Analyst – Team Lead. The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting the Fixed Cost and Capital reporting functions through accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial templates and reports. This role is ideal for an organized, proactive candidate who enjoys hands-on accounting work and assisting the financial planning cycle in a collaborative environment.

What You’ll be Doing:
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Prepare journal entries and help month-end close processes for fixed costs and capital accounts in accordance with IFRS
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation
- Assist the Team Lead with monthly variance analysis by compiling schedules, preparing supporting information, and taking ownership of assigned business areas by overseeing the month-end close process end-to-end under the Team Lead’s guidance
- Assist and participate in the Monthly Financial Review (MFR) process by updating templates, uploading data, preparing summary reports, and assisting with presentations to Finance leadership
- Maintain the Fixed Asset sub-legers in collaboration with the Capital Accounting team, including capitalization, depreciation, CIP and disposals
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and assist with audit requests and documentation
Financial Planning & Analysis and Business Partnership
- Assist the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes by preparing templates, consolidating submissions, and performing data uploads
- Assist with the preparation of reports and dashboards used for business reviews
- Compile and distribute monthly actuals packages for assigned business areas
- Take ownership of assigned business areas by overseeing forecasting and reporting activities end-to-end
- Partner with business units in these areas to understand results, respond to inquiries, and provide clear and accurate financial information
- Provide administrative and analytical support to business partners as required
Process Improvement & Special Projects
- Assist with ad hoc financial analyses and contribute to process improvement projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and accuracy
What You’ll Bring:
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- CPA designation (or working toward designation) preferred
- 2–4 years of financial experience with exposure to financial planning and/or accounting
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, internal controls, and financial close processes
- Advanced Excel techniques, experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Business and financial acumen with solid awareness of cost management concepts
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
- Ability to take care of multiple priorities and meet timelines
- Collaborative and customer-focused approach with strong communication skills
- Dedication to continuous improvement
- Effective communication grounded in respect, reliance, and integrity
