**Job Description & Requirements **

| Are you interested in a rewarding career supporting K to Grade 7 students
in first nation school in a beautiful remote isolated location? Qualified
Special Education Assistants(SEAs) build strong connections with students
to enhance their academic and social / emotional growth and independence.
SEAs work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals and para-
professionals assisting with implementation of individual education programs,
learning and behavioural support, personal care and a variety of other duties.
We operate on the unceded traditional territories of the Dzawada’enuxw First
Nations. Serving the community of Gwayi’ village. You will be responsible for
assisting with six to eight children.
We hire Special Education Assistants who have completed certificate programs;
we will consider applications from individuals who have completed Special
Education Assistant programs and have school-based experience. **Please
include the following documents in your application package: **
- Coverletter
- Resume (including at least 2 references from current and recent employers)
- Education AssistantCertificate
- Transcript
- Practicum Report(s)
- High School Diploma (eg. Dogwood) or post-secondary degree**** REQUIRED DOCUMENT ****
- First Aid Certificate (if you have one)
**The rate of pay will be $19 - $25 depending on your qualifications. ** We wish to thank all applicants; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
