About the role

Job Description 1 x Position Fixed Term (January - December 2026) Full time FTE 1.0 (40 Hours per week) Based in the Hamilton Te Kura tari (office) Ko wai mātou | About Us Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is New Zealand's largest school. We provide personalised and authentic learning programmes through distance education from early childhood level to NCEA Level 3, including to young adult and adult learners.

Our vision is to enable our students (ākonga) to achieve their educational and personal goals, empowering them to become engaged and contributing members of their communities.

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this position We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Learning Support Administrator to join our team. This essential role provides efficient, responsive administrative support to assist the National Lead in delivering learning support services that empower ākonga to achieve their educational goals in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

You'll be part of a passionate team committed to inclusive education and making a meaningful difference in the lives of ākonga across Aotearoa.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and other administrative technologies

  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills

Te Aho o Te Kura Pounamu (Te Kura) is a state-funded distance education provider that offers a wide range of personalised learning programmes and courses, from early childhood to NCEA Level 3, including young adult and adult learners, which are mostly delivered online. We have kaimahi (staff) located throughout New Zealand, three quarters of who are teachers.

As New Zealand’s largest school with up to 30,000 ākonga enrolled through distance education our kaimahi work together to ensure successful outcomes for our ākonga and their whānau. Our vision is to enable ākonga (students) to achieve their educational and personal goals, empowering them to become engaged and contributing members of their communities and enjoy their lives to the fullest.
