What you’ll do:
The Ag Retail Manager is responsible for the leadership, sales growth, customer relationships and overall performance of Prairie Co-op’s agriculture business in Melville & Ituna. This role provides leadership and the day-to-day direction of the Ag Team while ensuring financial, safety, customer sales & service (on farm/in store) and operational objectives are achieved.
- Provide operational direction and oversight in the implementation of programs and policies for the Melville and Ituna Ag Teams and customer base.
- Oversee and execute sales strategies, which includes managing and growing current customer base through identifying and pursuing prospects and growth. opportunities. Responsible for building strong customer relationships and delivering solutions.
- Responsible for the sales, marketing and promotion of Crop Inputs and Grain storage and Handling solutions within the Melville and Ituna trading area.
- Oversee the completion and follow through of all safety and environmental policies and procedures and ensure standards are achieved.
- Prepare, administer, and achieve budgeted goals as it relates to the pricing, sales, margins, expenses, and inventory of the commodity.
- Provide leadership to the team, including the recruitment, goal setting, performance management, training and development of team members and employee engagement.
- Other duties as assigned.
Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Agriculture and:
- You have a post-secondary education in Agriculture or equivalent experience.
- P. Ag or CCA is preferred.
- You have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, CRS experience preferred.
- You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
- You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
