THL Gourmet Foods Inc. is one of the leading importer and distributor of food products from the Pacific Rim and other regions of the world. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented Reporting & Data Analyst to join our Reporting & Data Analytics team and contribute to the company’s data-driven decision-making and fiscal efficiency.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and business-oriented Data Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will be responsible for analyzing enterprise data, developing reports and dashboards, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.

You will work within our modern data platform using Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, leveraging centralized data warehouse resources to deliver reliable insights, standardized reporting, and actionable analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data from enterprise systems and centralized data warehouse platforms to support business and operational decisions.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and data visualizations in Power BI.
  • Work with data stored and modeled within Microsoft Fabric to deliver consistent and scalable reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into data models, KPIs, and dashboards.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure reporting accuracy and integrity.
  • Monitor trends, identify anomalies, and provide insights to improve performance, efficiency, and decision-making.
  • Support the development and maintenance of semantic models, reporting datasets, and standardized business metrics.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis for management and department leaders as needed.
  • Partner with IT, data engineers, and business teams to improve data structures, reporting processes, and governance practices.
  • Document report logic, KPI definitions, data sources, and analytical methodologies.
  • Promote best practices in dashboard design, self-service analytics, and data usage across the organization.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field
  • Proven experience in a Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, or BI Analyst role
  • Hands-on experience using Power BI (or Tableau) for dashboard development and data visualization
  • Strong knowledge of SQL for querying and validating data
  • Good understanding of data warehouse concepts and data modeling
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Assets/ Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or Snowflake, or strong expertise in Microsoft-based data solutions with a willingness to expand into Fabric.
  • Hands-on experience with Fabric components, including Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Dataflows, Pipelines, and semantic models.
  • Working knowledge of Python.
  • Familiarity with Power Automate, Power Query, and data transformation practices.
  • Experience integrating data from ERP, WMS, or other enterprise business systems.
  • Understanding of data governance, master data, and KPI standardization.
  • Experience supporting self-service BI environments and user adoption.

Working Hours:

  • Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (8-hour shifts)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Expected Hourly Wage: $25.00 -$30.00
