Overview Do you operate loader, forklift and perform a variety of labor tasks related to the efficient operation of our terminal? Responsibilities What your days look like as a Heavy Equipment Operator: Efficiently load and unload flat decks trailer of lumber; Receive and unload railcars of plywood; Receive and unload bulk hopper railcars using conveyor system / reload cargo on to trucks; Perform general labor tasks including equipment inspections and maintenance; Operate snowplows to ensure safe and clear access throughout the terminal; Assist in managing and balancing inventory to maintain accurate stock levels; Maintain a clean and organized work environment at the terminal. Qualifications To succeed as a Heavy Equipment Operator, you must have: Hold a heavy equipment operator certification (Asset); Three to five (3-5) years of experience operating a loader with a bucket and forks, preferably comparable to a CAT 980; Three to five (3-5) years of experience operating forklifts; Strong ability to perform manual labor and maintain equipment; Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow safety protocols; Work in unfavorable weather conditions.
