THE OPPORTUNITY

The Warranty Administrator will be responsible for processing warranty claims. This involves interpreting failure reports and writing claims reports and submitting them to the manufacturers’ warranty processing centers. This position is located at our sales and service dealership in Langley, BC.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interprets failure reports and composes claims reports in such a manner as will be properly understood by claims adjudicators at manufacturers’ warranty processing centers.
  • Completes the various claim forms, properly codes failures and lists materials as required by different vendors.
  • Processes warranty claims in a timely manner
  • Verifies criteria required by OEM/vendors, checks warranty eligibility for the repairs
  • Responds to warranty inquiries from internal and external customers
  • Tracks warranty parts to be returned to vendor or discarded.
  • Closes warranty repair orders.
  • Keeps warranty schedules up to date.
  • Reviews credit notes and warranty statements for items to be posted to warranty schedules.
  • Maintains records for auditing purposes as needed by the company and by warrantors
  • Maintains an excellent line of communication with all vendors
  • Maintain all service and customer records as required by the warrantor

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) essential
  • Post-secondary diploma or trade certification preferred
  • Three years’ related experience in automotive, truck or equipment warranty
  • Strong computer skills, with intermediate level Excel
  • Ability to proactively problem-solve and think logically
  • Good verbal and strong written communication skills
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Accountability and dependability

PAY RANGE

The salary range for this role is between $50,000 - $60,000, based on experience.
