The Regional Lighting Manager leads our team of Lighting Specialists and the Region’s efforts in developing and implementing plans to capture business opportunities and grow sales, market share, and financial profitability in the lighting segment.

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for daily management and engagement of the Accounting Team, audit strategy and operating and capital budget process and forecasts. This role is a resource for our branches to ensure appropriate cash flow and processes.
Major Responsibilities:
- Drive initiatives to promote top-line lighting sales within the Region.
- Work in conjunction with the Projects team on large lighting opportunities.
- Supporting promotions and sales lead generation programs.
- Lead marketing and lighting promotion initiatives.
- Develop the region's business plan for marketing lighting products and solutions.
- Serve as a technical resource for lighting expertise and knowledge to Graybar Canada's internal sales force and to external customers including engineers, consultants, designers, and architects.
- Research and keep current on government regulations pertaining to lighting.
- Manage and maximize utility rebate opportunities.
- Manage all lighting sales leads within the region.
- Designs lighting layouts for customers from the onset of the project.
- Prepare and deliver customer presentations promoting the benefits of the proposed lighting solution.
- Promote and strengthen relationships with customers, lighting suppliers, and local agents by demonstrating increased lighting competency in the local area.
- Share lighting best practices with other branches and serve as a mentor to others in the region to sell more lighting products and solutions.
- Responsible for achieving and maintaining error-free performance as the Company's standard of quality service.
- Organize training for the Lighting Centre, branches, and customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Practice excellent spoken and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Have proven proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Proven ability to resolve disputes and provide problem-solving solutions.
- Five or more years of progressively more responsible sales and/or industry experience with an emphasis on lighting solutions. Prior experience working with lighting manufacturers or lighting agents preferred.
- Thorough technical knowledge of lighting products and solutions as related to customers’ business needs.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills with the ability to persuade and influence others in a positive manner.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Capable of collaborating with teams and achieving results.
- Superior coaching and mentoring skills.
- Good understanding of Graybar Canada’s Company structure, business, department functions, and their relation to one another preferred.
