Job Description

The Fire Alarm Technician is a motivated, organized, and personable individual providing quality service to customers. This role involves leadership responsibilities, including mentoring trainees and assistants. The Fire Alarm Technician is a key contributor to Classic Fire + Life Safety’s operations and growth.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Perform weekly, monthly, semi-annual, and annual inspections as required.

  • Conduct service work and repairs on fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and other equipment.

  • Install and verify fire alarm system components.

  • Mentor and oversee assistants and trainees, facilitating knowledge transfer.

  • Participate in on-call rotations.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • CFAA Registered Technician status.

  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the fire alarm industry as a fully licensed technician

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and a high level of electronic aptitude.

  • Ability to diagnose and repair fire alarm systems.

  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Customer-focused with the ability to empathize and provide exceptional service.

  • Proficient computer skills.

  • Clean driver’s abstract and valid G driver’s license.
