Job Description
The BIM Lead will lead digital delivery and information management for a major transit project. This role involves overseeing CDE setup, content development, Discipline model set up and model coordination across multiple disciplines. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project BIM documentation—including the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), instructions, and workflows—while ensuring compliance with client and industry standards.
The role requires strong expertise in automation, data interoperability, and performance visualization to support production, information sharing, delivery, and asset management workflows. The BIM Manager will champion model governance, facilitate collaboration among multidisciplinary teams, and develop digital tools that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
The BIM Lead establishes and manages the Building Information Modeling strategy for the project, ensuring effective digital collaboration across all design, construction, and operational phases. This role drives BIM implementation for infrastructure elements including facilities, power substations, support project delivery excellence.
Proficiency in Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, Dynamo, Python, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and related tools and plugins is essential.

Lead BIM implementation across all project stages, ensuring alignment with the BIM Execution Plan and client requirements.

Manage model federation, coordination, and clash detection across disciplines within integrated CDE workflows.

Develop and maintain structured BIM workflows and file exchange protocols within Autodesk Construction Cloud and other CDE environments.

Create custom scripts using Dynamo, Grasshopper, and other visual programming tools to automate workflows, manage data, and generate complex geometry.

Design and maintain Power BI dashboards to monitor design progress, visualize model health, and track project KPIs and asset performance.

Integrate Autodesk Construction Cloud with internal systems via API programming to ensure seamless data exchange and workflow automation.

Lead content creation efforts, including Revit families, Civil 3D styles, templates, and BIM libraries aligned with client, industry, and organizational standards.

Utilize Python-based Scripting, and tools such as IMAGINiT Clarity and DirootsOne to streamline BIM processes.

Ensure model outputs support asset management through IBM Maximo and facilitate operational performance assessment and visual audits using Autodesk Tandem.

Collaborate with design, construction, and asset management teams to ensure BIM deliverables meet transit-specific and operational requirements.

Support IoT-based instrumentation and metering strategies by implementing sensor-driven asset tagging for facilities.

Promote innovation and automation in BIM practices, proactively addressing modeling inefficiencies and improving digital delivery workflows.
Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Computer Science, or a related field.

Minimum 8 years of experience in BIM management or digital delivery roles on large-scale infrastructure or transit projects.

Proven experience managing multidisciplinary coordination and BIM delivery for complex facilities.

Proficiency in Dynamo, Grasshopper, and Python for automation and interoperability workflows.

Hands-on experience with pyRevit, Revit API, Civil 3D API, RESTful API development and integration, and custom add-in development.

Skilled in Power BI for dashboard creation and integration with BIM and project databases.

Advanced knowledge of Revit and Civil 3D content development, including adaptive parametric families, styles, and templates.

Strong understanding of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), including its API capabilities for automation, collaboration, and file management.

Working knowledge of Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Tandem, and IBM Maximo integration workflows.

Understanding of sensor-based asset monitoring and digital twin strategies within transit assets.
-
Familiarity with C# is an asset.

Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills with a proven ability to guide multidisciplinary teams and drive digital innovation.
