About the role
The workplace is at the outdoor municipal pool at 1000 Dunkirk Road and the work schedule is variable.
Job Description The work consists of controlling access to the municipal pool by checking membership cards and of performing maintenance on the aquatic facilities.
EXAMPLES OF TASKS PERFORMED
- Ensures the entrances to the municipal pool are controlled (membership cards and tickets).
- Ensures the aquatics buildings and facilities are maintained in conformance with the rules and procedures in effect.
- Ensures the water quality is maintained.
- Provides customer service as the first contact at the entrance.
- Answers the telephone.
- As required, uses various types of office equipment and the appropriate software to perform certain job-related tasks.
- Performs any other related tasks.
SCOPE The tasks of the job require an exact order of execution. The employee has no possibility of planning or of organizing his activities, they are predetermined in advance. The work is normally closely monitored.
Required Training And Experience Certificates of competence :
- Lifesaving and CPR/AED (Training available for selected candidates, date to be determined)
Experience:
- Experience in aquatic settings: public or private pools (a plus).
Requirements
- Bilingual*;
- Know how to swim (control and comfortable in the deep water);
- Strong skills in dealing with the public;
- Knowledge of water quality management (a plus).
- Knowledge of English is a requirement due to possible interactions with the Town’s residents
Mandatory training sessions :
- Attendance at training courses is mandatory.
- The schedule will be submitted at the end of April.
