Job Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and responsible *Summer Day Camp Counsellor * to join our team! In this role, you will supervise and lead fun, age-appropriate daily activities for children aged 5?13, while ensuring a safe and inclusive environment. You will also support administrative duties, weekly planning, and field trip coordination.

*Note: 30 minute breaks will be taken but not paid

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead activities including crafts, swimming, outdoor fun and etc.
• Create and manage weekly schedules
• Supervise campers and maintain a positive, safe environment
• Complete administrative tasks such as copying, printing, and document organization
• Plan and supervise off-site field trips and transportation
• Manage daily sign-in/sign-out for campers and staff
• Communicate clearly with parents and camp staff
• Maintain consistent health and safety protocols

Qualifications:

• Must be between 16 to 29 years old (as per funding requirements)
• Experience working with children (ages 5?13) is required
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willing to obtain before camp starts)
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to supervise children in both indoor and outdoor settings.

Job Type: Seasonal Contract length: 6 weeks

Pay: $17.60 per hour
