This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our CGI downtown office or client office (minimum 3 days per week - subject to change at any time).

We are seeking an experienced Automation Architect to lead the design and implementation of advanced automation frameworks, integrate modern tools, and leverage Generative AI to drive innovation and efficiency across delivery teams.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, maintainable automation frameworks for functional, API, and performance testing.
• Define automation strategy, standards, and best practices across projects.
• Evaluate, select, and integrate open-source and licensed automation tools such as Playwright, Robot Framework, Selenium, etc.
• Incorporate Generative AI (GenAI) capabilities into automation solutions to accelerate testing and improve coverage.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to embed automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to automation engineers and project teams.
• Continuously assess emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve automation efficiency.
• Ensure quality governance and compliance with organizational standards.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks.

• Strong expertise in open-source and licensed automation tools (Playwright, Robot Framework, Selenium, etc.).

• Hands-on experience with Generative AI (GenAI) and its application in automation strategies.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or equivalent.

• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and integration of automation into delivery workflows.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to recommend innovative solutions.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively across teams.

• Ability to work in a hybrid environment and adapt to changing priorities.

**CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000–$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.**
