Associate Manager, Insurance Operations, New Business, Bilingual (French)
About the role
Permanent Full Time
Reporting to the Director, Insurance Operations New Business, the successful candidate will be responsible for the success of a New Business Team which could include individuals from underwriting and operations roles. This includes leadership of 10-15 NBCs and Underwriters, budget planning & maintenance as well as customer relations to ensure the timely, accurate processing of applications from advisors aligned with your team. You will also be involved in projects and will work closely with peers locally and nationally to ensure consistent handling of our business is achieved.
What you will do:

Ensuring effective recruitment, retention and performance management of staff
-
Managing work flow
-
Direct interaction with advisors, advisor support teams and wholesalers
-
Assist with problem resolution on issues crossing underwriting, administration, and distribution
-
Ensuring that staff are operating as effectively as possible utilizing all technology and support available
-
Driving change effectively; actively sponsor and participate in change initiatives
-
Establishing & maintaining individual training plans to ensure ongoing development of staff
-
Conducting regular team and one on one meetings with staff
-
Sharing the planning, managing, and tracking of expense budgets for your team
-
Sharing in the responsibility for office logistics
-
Ensuring superior customer service is being provided on all business functions
What you will bring:

Bilingualism (fluent in French and English) required, as the position will regularly serve our clients with English and French-speaking needs.

The base salary for this position is between $70,500.00 - $117,400.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
