POSITION: Medical Radiation Technologist
UNIT: Diagnostic Imaging
STATUS: Temporary Full Time (Approximately October 20, 2025, to November 20, 2026; may end sooner or be extended)
SALARY: $36.84 - $50.24

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging, the MRT will work as part of a highly skilled interdisciplinary team and will perform all diagnostic work in the OR, mobile/portable procedures, special procedures, and be able to work independently in the CT scanner.
The MRT must have the knowledge, skills, and judgement to practice safely by adhering to provincial/federal legislation and guidelines, departmental protocols/policies, and manufacturers’ guidelines pertaining to health and safety.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

Successful completion of an approved program of Medical Radiation Technology

CAMRT/CMRITO Registration as an MRT(R)
-
Full CT experience in a Hospital setting
-
Graduates post 2018 that are CT competent in a Hospital setting, or previous recent CT experience with completion of CT 1, 2 and 3 within the last 5 years.

Completion of a certified Contrast Injection for Radiographers Course within the last 5 years required
-
Current BLS Certification
-
Intermediate knowledge level of Microsoft Word and Excel
-
Effective organizational, and time management skills.

Demonstrated ability to work well independently and in a collaborative team environment with minimal supervision.

Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, and to critically problem-solve, and prioritize workload.

Demonstrated flexibility within roles and responsibilities with the ability to adapt quickly to changes in assignment throughout a shift.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills with ability to positively influence others and develop trusting internal and external relationships

Physical ability to carry out the essential duties of the position

Ability to regularly attend work in accordance with the Attendance Support Program

Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and performance reflective of the Mission, Vision, Values and Code of Conduct of STEGH.
WHAT WE PREFER YOU TO HAVE:

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an MRT preferred
HOURS:
The successful candidate must be available to work all tours applicable to the department. In addition, this position must be flexible to occasional changes in hours when required to meet the operational needs of the department.
