Your Contribution:
Your main responsibilities
- Preparing design drawings, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents under guidance of senior engineering staff.
- Electrical System Design including but not limited to:
- Power distribution and emergency backup (600V and lower).
- Lighting design and lighting calculations.
- Fire Alarm Design, and Fire Alarm Verification witnessing.
- EV Charger designs, Photovoltaic solar designs
- Security, door access and controls.
- Communications and networking.
- Arc flash studies, ground fault studies, and coordination studies
- Creation of electrical drawing for commercial buildings utilizing AutoCad and Revit software.
- Providing technical assistance on multi-disciplinary projects.
- Application of applicable codes including the Canadian Electrical Code, and Building Code.
- Occasional site observations for review of electrical conditions.
- Coordination with clients, consultants, regulatory agencies and utility companies and contractors.
- Maintaining knowledge and understanding of safety policies and procedures.
- Maintaining client relationships.
Your Profile:
What makes you unique
- Diploma in electrical engineering technologies from an accredited college or polytechnic.
- Minimum of 5 years AutoCAD and Revit experience.
- Eligible for membership with APEGA or ASET is considered an asset.
- Good verbal communication and technical writing skills.
- Show an aptitude of general construction methods.
- Valid driver’s license (job duties may include some travel).
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Sense of humor
