AI SEO Specialist - Remote (Canada) As an AI SEO Specialist, you are responsible for developing and executing advanced, AI‑powered search engine optimization strategies that enhance organic visibility, improve conversions, and future‑proof Western’s discoverability across emerging AI‑driven search platforms. This role blends technical SEO expertise with innovative AI tools to drive meaningful business growth.
Here Is What a Typical Day Looks Like
- Content Strategy & Information Architecture: Designing frameworks and taxonomies (ontologies) to make content easy to find, manage, and reuse across multiple platforms (websites, chatbots, voice assistants, etc.).
- Content Creation & Optimization: Guiding the creation of AI-ready content that uses clear, logical formatting (headings, lists, data markup) and adheres to specific guidelines and brand voice to ensure quality, accuracy, and SEO performance
- Lead the development and execution of AI‑powered SEO strategies to drive organic traffic and conversions
- Optimize website structure and on‑page elements (meta tags, headings, schema, internal linking) using AI‑driven insights.
- Use AI tools to automate SEO tasks such as rank tracking, technical audits, and performance reporting.
- Leverage AI platforms for keyword research, competitive analysis, and backlink strategy development.
- Monitor keyword trends, user search behavior, and changing AI search engine patterns
- Analyze customer behavior and conversion barriers using tools like Lucky Orange and Google Analytics to inform SEO and CRO initiatives
The value you bring
- Post‑secondary education in marketing, communications, or digital media
- 5+ years of experience in SEO, including on‑page, off‑page, and technical SEO
- Experience using AI tools for SEO (e.g., keyword research, competitive analysis, automation).
- Strong Writing & Communication Skills: The ability to create clear, concise, and engaging content is fundamental.
- Technical Fluency: A solid understanding of AI/ML concepts, natural language processing (NLP), and relevant tools/platforms (e.g., Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, HubSpot, Jasper.ai, etc.)
