What You'll Do Here We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead Canadian and U.S. corporate tax matters, global transfer pricing, and international tax planning for a multinational organization. This role involves researching tax solutions, driving process improvements, and collaborating across jurisdictions to support compliance, reporting, and critical initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring cross-border tax expertise, thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, and have the opportunity to grow into leadership roles.   • Handle the preparation and review of Canadian corporate income tax returns and related filings.
  • Manage the evaluation and analysis of provisional tax package, quarterly provision information requests, and quarterly transfer pricing calculations.
  • Lead Company’s BEPS compliance, global transfer pricing documentation, including Local File, Master File, and Country-by-Country reports.
  • Respond to CRA inquiries (federal and provincial) and prepare all audit process activities.
  • Assist with U.S. international tax compliance including Forms 5471, 8858, and other informational reporting.
  • Assists with U.S. international tax provision including quarterly and annual calculations under ASC 740, Subpart F income, GILTI income, earnings & profits, distributions, and related disclosures.
  • Oversee the documentation of uncertain tax positions (FIN48) for foreign affiliates.
  • Supervise Canadian and U.S. international tax legislation and assess its impact on the business.
  • Work together with external advisors and internal collaborators on cross-border tax issues and intercompany tax matters.
  • Contribute to international tax planning, including repatriation strategies, treaty and withholding analysis.
  • Collaborate with finance teams (Accounting, Treasury, Planning and foreign affiliates) to ensure accurate tax reporting.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance documentation of tax filings.
  • Ensure the company’s tax files are well-organized and properly maintained.

Skills You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Master’s in Tax or Accounting and CPA or CPA candidate, preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in Canadian and/or U.S. corporate tax.
  • Experience with transfer pricing, including US IRC
  • 482, and policies for intercompany pricing.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian tax laws and CRA practices.
  • Proficiency with tax compliance and transfer pricing software, preferred (e.g., Taxprep, Caseware, ProFile, OneSource, GoSystem, TP Documenter, Exactera).
  • Solid understanding of U.S. corporate income tax international rules, preferred.
  • Understanding of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Canadian GAAP, and IFRS.
  • Thorough with strong organizational skills and commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate in an effective and respectful manner with peers and management.
  • Ability to multitask, work well under pressure and successfully in a team environment.
  • Takes initiative to learn and build new skills and knowledge while completing deliverables in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Experience with tax research and tax research software (e.g., BNA, CCH, Checkpoint).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, preferred.
  • Experience within big four or similar public accounting environment or equivalent within large multinational corporate tax department, preferred.
  • Great teammate with the ability to collaborate, build & maintain relationships with cross functional groups (finance, accounting & treasury) and business units.
  • Experience with coaching, managing and mentoring staff.

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
