About the role

Master Flo Valve Inc. is currently seeking a full-time permanent Journeyman

Instrumentation and Control Technician/Valve Technician to work in Edmonton, AB.

Work Conditions

  • Day shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. Option for overtime.
  • Permanent, full-time
  • Work comfortably indoors.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test choke and control valves in accordance with our company quality standards (Internal training provided for all job functions)
  • Read and follow drawings, procedures, and work instructions (training provided).
  • Work with common tools in assembly and testing Master Flo products.
  • Assembly and/or hydro testing of Master Flo products.
  • Maintain accurate database and documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assist in the training and mentoring of apprentices and less experienced technicians.
  • Actively support and comply with corporate programs, standards, and policies, including health and safety, quality, and environmental programs
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Certified Journeyperson Instrumentation and Control Technician designation recognized in Alberta.
  • Assembly and testing experience
  • Working with industrial valves is a strong asset.
  • Oil and gas industry experience is preferred.
  • Effective written and verbal English communication skills
  • Solid work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and with minimal supervision.
  • A commitment to workplace health and safety, environmental, and quality objectives.
