About the role
Our client is seeking a strategic Head of Procure-to-Pay to lead procurement and payment operations. Based in Calgary and reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, this role is critical to scaling efficient, frictionless processes in a high-growth, AI-first environment and supporting public company readiness. The ideal candidate brings deep operational expertise, strong process discipline, and the ability to partner effectively with executive leadership to drive scalable improvements and financial excellence.
Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To
- Build and lead a high-performing Procure-to-Pay team aligned with company growth
- Partner with the business to drive scalable, customer- and employee-focused improvements
- Establish a Procurement Center of Excellence to deliver insight, visibility, and accountability
- Optimize payment platforms and processes to ensure frictionless, scalable operations
- Own SOX controls, audit liaison responsibilities, and clear process/SOP documentation
Your strengths include:
- 15+ years in Procure-to-Pay, preferably in high-growth, fast-changing organizations
- 5+ years leading and developing teams of 5+ with a strong people-first approach
- Proven ability to maintain and scale financial operations, controls, and systems, leveraging emerging technologies including AI
- Strategic, solution-oriented thinker able to navigate complex financial, operational, and global challenges, including international expansion
- Strong executive presence and communication skills, with high intellectual curiosity, analytical rigor, and pragmatic business judgment
