About the role
Brief Description The Refiner Field Support will be responsible for performing day to day activities related to production, refining and drying. This includes monitoring the production process and operating equipment, understanding all stations of the refining and drying area, tracking materials from the beginning of the process through the end by way of computer, visual inspection, monitoring materials for quality and ensuring proper function of equipment. The successful candidate must maintain a high level of accuracy, safety and quality as well as meet production goals of their team and the company.
Requirements Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent training/experience
Experience
- 2 -3 years related experience
- Actual work experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is an asset
- Experience with metric and standard measurements
- Mechanical education/certification is an asset
- Forklift certification is an asset
- Loader experience an asset

- Identify process variation, determines the source, and works to eliminate it
- Assist in performing root cause analysis on problems
- Communicate with other control room operator’s to maintain stable and consistent production
- Assists in planning and executing production line shutdowns to minimize downtime while maximizing efficiency
- Monitors fiber quality, moisture and takes immediate action to eliminate problems negatively impacting it
- Visually and manually inspects refined fiber to meet quality expectations
- Perform basic maintenance related tasks
- Maintain cleanliness of refining, drying, ADS, and resin areas
- Assist maintenance personnel in performing technical work
- Perform routine checks and fill out check sheets
- Set up, operate, troubleshoot and adjust equipment throughout the refining/drying line
- Train with vendors and Refiner Operator on equipment operation
- Assist with training of new employees
- Perform all other duties as assigned
