Opportunity

The Department of Computer Science in the Faculty of Arts and Science invites applications for an entry-level, full-time, tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2026, subject to final budgetary approval.

The Department of Computer Science offers a general computer science degree and specializations in databases and interactive visualization, systems and information security, and video gaming.

You will demonstrate excellence, or clear promise of excellence, in teaching both junior and senior undergraduate-level courses. In addition to teaching, you will participate in curriculum development, develop a research program involving undergraduate students, and build a broad research network. The ability to attract external funding is desirable.

You must have, or be close to completion of, a terminal degree in Computer Science or a relevant area of expertise and will demonstrate a primary commitment to undergraduate teaching and an ongoing research program. You will preferably be specialized in operating systems, but strong candidates in other relevant areas will be considered.

You will submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, teaching dossier (including recent teaching evaluations), statement of research interests, and sample of scholarly work.

Only selected candidates will be required to submit official transcripts sent directly from the institutions where you completed your degrees.
