Clearview Public Schools Requires a PRINCIPAL Clearview Public Schools, headquartered in Stettler, Alberta, requires a Principal beginning at the start of the 2026-2027 school year at Botha School located in Botha, Alberta. Botha School is a dynamic, rural PreK-6 school with 52 students. This position is for one year covering a leave of absence.
Skills The individual must have a student-centered philosophy of inclusion, a growth mindset, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to nurture a positive inclusive culture. These skills will support the successful candidate in:
- Building deep and trusting relationships with a tight-knit supportive rural community;
- Creating welcoming, caring, respectful and safe schools for students and parents through personal relationships and school-wide programs;
- Fostering collaborative team relationships with school staff as well as community agencies to support the learning needs of all students;
- Identifying a shared school vision in collaboration with students, parents, staff and school division leadership;
- Providing high-level instructional leadership by ensuring staff have access to quality feedback, resources and training to thrive in their professional practice and responsibilities;
- Successfully implementing school-wide, aria-level="1">
Identifying and empowering teachers in educational leadership roles;
- Nurturing and mentoring new teachers;
- Acquiring and applying foundational knowledge about First Nations, Métis and Inuit for the benefit of all students in a school; and
- Strategically allocating and monitoring financial resources to effectively meet the needs of learners.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have Opportunities To Develop

- Strong organizational skills;
- Effective interpersonal skills, including being a strong listener and the ability to successfully facilitate high-stakes conversations;

- An ability to foster positive, solutions-focused collaborative teams.
Applicants should possess or be willing to work towards a Masters’ Degree. Experience and passion for teaching in a multigraded classroom would be an asset.
