The Opportunity

Our Power & Energy Storage (PES) team is looking to add a dedicated individual in Calgary, AB to support the financial and operational performance of our electricity assets and retail services. This role is ideal for an analytical, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with data, collaborating across teams, and contributing to business decision making.

The individual will work closely with Operations, Commercial Management, Accounting, external partners, and customers, supporting asset modeling, invoicing, reporting, and performance analysis that enable effective management of TC Energy’s power portfolio.

What you’ll do

  • Compile, analyze, validate and maintain asset and financial data to support operational and financial performance
  • Support settlement, billing, reconciliation and reporting activities under the guidance of senior team members
  • Prepare monthly accruals and final invoices for external counterparties and assist with project cost tracking, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Maintain Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and cost data in SAP and related systems
  • Investigate and resolved invoicing discrepancies, and support timely payment processing
  • Prepare performance and management reports and dashboards to support business communication, analysis, and decision-making
  • Contribute to business process improvement, standardization and automation of initiatives to ensure on-going timely delivery of high-quality results

Minimum Qualifications

  • Recent graduate with no more than two years of relevant experience
  • Post-Secondary Degree in Business, Accounting, Commerce or Economics or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for variance analysis and resolution of discrepancies
  • Advance computer skills particularly in reporting tools, MS Office including MS Excel and Power BI

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge / understanding of the energy industry
  • Experience working with SAP
  • Clear communication skills and willingness to ask questions
