About Us JOB DESCRIPTION Bedford Ready Mix has been in operation since 1985 and is a proud member of OSCO Concrete. Bedford Ready Mix supplies concrete and pumping services for residential work along with large-scale industrial/commercial projects, making us one of the largest concrete suppliers in the Halifax Regional Municipality. OSCO Concrete operates a large fleet of concrete pumps, including the largest concrete boom pump east of Montreal. In addition to its shared resources with other OSCO Concrete members, the Bedford location also hosts a four-bay repair facility capable of handling the largest OSCO Concrete pumps in the fleet.

Responsibilities

• Perform service and repairs on concrete pump trucks.
• Travel to job sites for service calls and urgent repair requests.
• Carry out inspections and diagnosis of electrical, hydraulics, suspension, brake and air systems on both concrete pump trucks and concrete mixer trucks.
• Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures
• Ensure shop, equipment, and tools are in safe operating condition.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with corporate standards.
• Establish and maintain cooperative, respectful and effective working relationships with other team members and employees.
• Other duties as may be required.

Requirements

• Must be mechanically inclined.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Flexibility in work schedule. (early mornings, late evenings, weekends)
• Class 5 License required to operate company vehicle when required.
• Experience working on concrete pump trucks and mixer trucks would be an asset.
• Willing to learn, receive training and development.
• Must be a team player.
