Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently looking for a Paint Seibi Technician for a temporary assignment in Cambridge, Ontario onsite.
This position is a 12-month assignment, with potential to extend, with a pay range of $25-32/hour. Hours include some weekend hours when needed.

Who We Are Looking For Toyota’s Paint PE (Production Engineering) Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Seibi Technician.
The primary responsibility of this role is to participate in and perform DE (Digital Engineering) studies, commissioning, teaching, quality adjustment of all paint robotic processes (Sealer, UBC, LASD, Primer, Topcoat and Plastics).
Reporting to the Paint Seibi Manager, the person in this role will support the Paint Seibi Group’s objective to plan, implement and achieve high quality, robust robot processes in the paint shop.
What You Bring
- Program paint shop robots.
- Coordinate trials to adjust quality for paint processes.
- Perform/create studies/programs using robot simulation software.
- Evaluate quality using elcometers, wavescan, x-rite, etc.
- Create handover documentation of robotic processes for the NAMCs.
- Lead, plan, coordinate and communicate with the plant, production, pilot and other Engineering groups.
- A professional appearance to represent the team and our department.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge.
- Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
- Flexible and able to multitask on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects.
- Able to take initiative to recommend projects, product improvements, or cost reductions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Willingness to work up to 50% overtime when required. (weekends/holidays/shutdown)
- Ability to travel up to 50%. (North America and between Cambridge and Woodstock)
- This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards is required for this position.
- Experience with automated robotic paint shop applications
- Experience with Paint processes and quality confirmations
- Experience with Digital Engineering, CATIA, AutoCAD
- Additional related certifications
- 2 year technical degree in related field
