Business Analyst – Digital Product Streams (Contentful & Mobile Applications)
Location: Etobicoke, Ontario (Hybrid) Employment Type: 12-month Contract Hybrid: 2 days in office Industry: Travel Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support our Digital Product team, working across the Contentful Platform, Content Management, and Mobile Application product streams. This role will partner closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, developers, QA teams, UX/UI designers, project sponsors, and external vendors to ensure business objectives are translated into high-quality digital solutions. Working within an Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), you will analyze business problems, gather and document requirements, optimize business processes, and support the successful delivery of customer-facing digital products. You will play a key role in enhancing the customer experience across web and mobile channels while supporting enterprise content management capabilities powered by Contentful.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management Lead discovery workshops and facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders. Analyze business problems and recommend technology solutions that align with organizational objectives. Perform business process analysis, gap analysis, impact assessments, and workflow optimization. Develop current-state and future-state process maps, workflows, business rules, use cases, and data mapping documentation. Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Maintain business documentation throughout the Agile delivery lifecycle using Azure DevOps.
Contentful & Content Management
Support enterprise Contentful CMS initiatives across customer-facing digital platforms. Collaborate with business teams to define structured content models and publishing workflows. Analyze content authoring, approval, localization, and governance processes. Document requirements for Contentful integrations with ecommerce platforms, internal systems, and downstream applications. Support API-driven content delivery across web and mobile applications. Work with developers to define content schemas, validation rules, and publishing requirements. Support digital asset management using Cloudinary and related content platforms. Recommend improvements to content governance, authoring processes, and publishing workflows.
Mobile Application Delivery
Gather and document business requirements for iOS and Android mobile applications. Define customer journeys, business rules, mobile workflows, and acceptance criteria. Collaborate with Product Owners, UX/UI designers, developers, and QA throughout the product lifecycle. Support integrations with booking engines, authentication services, payment platforms, customer profiles, notifications, and backend APIs. Ensure a consistent customer experience across mobile and web channels. Participate in feature validation, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), release planning, production deployments, and post-production support.
Solution Delivery & Testing
Partner with Development and QA teams to define business test scenarios and test data. Participate in solution validation, defect triage, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Review testing outcomes to ensure business requirements have been successfully delivered. Support production releases, implementation activities, and solution adoption. Assist with stakeholder communications, user training, and change management initiatives.
Product Ownership Support
Develop subject matter expertise across assigned digital product streams. Support Product Owners with backlog refinement, prioritization, sprint planning, and roadmap development. Balance business priorities with technical constraints while advocating for customer needs. Promote continuous improvement across products, delivery processes, and Agile practices.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Digital Business Analyst experience. Proven experience gathering, documenting, validating, and managing business and system requirements. Experience supporting digital products, ecommerce platforms, websites, or customer-facing applications. Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments. Strong experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, business process documentation, workflow diagrams, and functional specifications. Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production releases. Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills
