About the role

The Position:

The HRIS Lead – Dayforce is responsible for optimizing, enhancing, and supporting our Dayforce platform to improve employee experience, streamline people processes, and deliver reliable workforce insights. This role acts as the functional and technical Dayforce expert, supporting new module implementations, improving system configuration, and strengthening reporting, integrations, and data governance. The HRIS Lead partners with HR, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Operations, and IT to drive automation and process transformation. This is a contract role

What You'll Be Doing:

Dayforce Implementation & Optimization

  • Serve as SME for configuration across Dayforce HCM modules (Core HR, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance, Compensation, Learning, WFM, Payroll, Benefits).
  • Lead and support new implementations: requirements gathering, process design, configuration, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
  • Improve system workflows to automate manual tasks, reduce administrative work, and enhance user experience.
  • Ensure configuration aligns with global processes and local legislation.

Process & Workflow Transformation

  • Assess and optimize HR, TA, and Payroll workflows for efficiency and scalability.
  • Configure rules, forms, workflows, and notifications in Dayforce.
  • Standardize and document end‑to‑end processes.
  • Maintain governance for system changes and enhancements.

Reporting & People Analytics

  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports for HR and business leaders.
  • Ensure data accuracy across Dayforce and integrated systems.
  • Translate business needs into scalable reporting solutions.
  • Support core people metrics (headcount, turnover, time‑to‑fill, workforce cost, span of control).

Integrations & Technical Coordination

  • Partner with IT and vendors on integrations, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
  • Support data migrations, imports, and security role management.
  • Coordinate system releases, upgrades, and regression testing.

User Experience & Enablement

  • Create and deliver user training and guides.
  • Act as escalation point for complex system issues.
  • Drive adoption through simple, intuitive system design.

Data Governance & Compliance

  • Maintain data standards, audits, and validation processes.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy and legislative requirements.
  • Support audits involving HR and payroll data.

What We're Looking For:

  • 4–7+ years of hands‑on Dayforce configuration experience.
  • Experience supporting or leading major Dayforce module implementations.
  • Deep understanding of HCM processes and workflow design.
  • Strong skills in reporting, dashboards, data management, and security roles.
  • Experience with integrations and working with technical teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Process improvement mindset (Lean/Six Sigma an asset).
  • Experience in multi‑entity or global environments is an advantage.
