As Coulson Aviation continues to grow, we are looking for an Aerospace Designer to join our Design team in Port Alberni, BC. This full-time, onsite position offers the opportunity to develop structural and mechanical systems that enhance aircraft performance, reliability, and operational capabilities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Design, plan, and integrate structural and mechanical systems using CATIA V5.
Support structural modifications associated with avionics and electrical upgrades.
Develop mechanical installations and repairs.
Prepare design documentation in accordance with applicable aerospace regulations and airworthiness standards.
Collaborate with avionics, electrical, and other teams to support aircraft modifications.
Prepare reports and technical data packages for design approval and certification.
Provide ongoing technical support for new and existing designs and products.
Carry out other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
A degree in Aerospace Engineering.
At least three years of aerospace design experience.
At least three years of experience using ENOVIA and CATIA V5.
Experience with wiring installations and avionics mounting.
Knowledge of structural clipping techniques and their effect on aircraft integrity.
Strong knowledge of aerospace materials, sheet-metal design, and machined components.
Knowledge of aircraft design inertias for loading.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
