About the role
Who you are
- Possess a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Pursue or hold a CPA designation or equivalent; preferred
- Bring at least 3 years of experience in accounting
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Exhibit proficiency in accounting software (Oracle preferred) and Microsoft Excel
- Display excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Show strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Operate independently and collaboratively within a team
What the job involves
- As an Accountant with a focus on indirect costs, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our organization
- You will be responsible for managing areas of financial records, assist with preparation of financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Your attention to detail and analytical skills will help us maintain accurate financial reporting and support our business operations
- You will report directly to the Director of Accounting as part of a wider Accounting team
- Taking responsibility for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory Board presentations and group reporting packs
- Preparing IFRS month-end journals for multiple entities, with supporting documentation
- Assisting in consolidating multiple entities globally, including reconciling intercompany transactions
- Coordinating audits of annual statutory financial statements for all legal entities
- Collaborating with the Director of Regulatory Reporting and Compliance team for timely regulatory filings
- Developing and maintaining routines for intercompany activities, including balance reconciliation
- Operating in a rigorous internal controls environment and recommending opportunities for process improvements
- Assisting with internal audits and participating in cross-training for ad-hoc tasks
