Enterprise BD Lead — Payments
Canada (Remote, Toronto Preferred)
c.CAD $200–260k base + bonus
An opportunity to lead enterprise merchant sales into one of the world's most recognised payment gateway platforms while providing strategic direction to an existing commercial team in Canada.
A high-growth, independent payments gateway, trusted by major names in hospitality, QSR, lodging and retail, is expanding its Canadian commercial team. This is a senior, quota-carrying BD role with responsibility for landing enterprise merchant accounts and providing mentorship and direction to an existing BD professional in market. Deal cycles are complex and long, stakeholders are executive-level, and the role demands a seasoned operator who can open doors independently.
What the role involves: Carrying a quota and owning the full enterprise sales cycle in Canada, from pipeline creation through close Providing strategic direction and day-to-day guidance to a junior BD team member Building and managing relationships with enterprise merchants across hospitality, lodging, QSR, retail and travel Leading consultative, multi-stakeholder sales processes including RFPs, compliance reviews and commercial proposals Partnering with ISVs, acquirers and financial institutions to support joint go-to-market activity Representing the business at industry events and trade shows; building profile in the Canadian market
What they're looking for: 10–15 years in B2B payments or fintech sales; payment gateway background essential Enterprise merchant sales experience — multi-location, complex deployments, executive stakeholders Demonstrable ability to mentor or lead commercial colleagues Existing relationships with Canadian or North American enterprise merchants a strong advantage Hunter profile: self-sourced pipeline, disciplined forecasting, no reliance on inherited accounts Stable tenure — typically 3+ years in individual roles
Package: c.CAD $200–260k base salary | 15–20% quarterly profit-share bonus | Remote, Toronto preferred
