About the role
The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Full-Time Multi Grade Teacher at Red Earth Creek School. This position is to commence on August 27, 2026 and continuing until June 30, 2027.
Red Earth Creek School is situated in the hamlet of Red Earth Creek, located about 162 kms from Peace River and is 420 kms north of Edmonton. This school services students in grade K-12 and supports a commitment to academics and inclusive education. Red Earth Creek borders the Loon Lake First Nation.
The upcoming position would be for a split grade 5 & 6 classroom. An interest in physical education and sports programming would be an asset.
Qualifications
Previous experience in teaching in a multi grade environment from grades 1-12
Strong classroom management skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting Excellent communication skills with students, staff and parents Ability to contribute to a positive, safe and caring learning environment An understanding of rural community and culture
Requirements
Must hold or be eligible for a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Provide an acceptable current Vulnerable Sector Check (dated within six (6) months of your application.)
This teaching position falls under the collective agreement between the .
Annual Salary Range:$ 66,520 to $ 112,451 (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers' Association and the Peace River School Division).
