About the role
We are seeking a licensed Refrigeration Mechanic(313A) in Brantford , ON location.
Job Description:
- Install, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems (walk-in coolers, freezers, chillers, display cabinets).
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration system issues.
- Handle refrigerants safely (recover, charge, recycle) according to regulations.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install piping, valves, and supports.
- Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration units to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Commission new systems and test for proper operation and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Maintain records of maintenance, service calls, and parts used.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide quick resolution.
Must-Have Requirements:
- 313A Refrigeration & Air Conditioning certification or equivalent.
- Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation.
- Ability to work in cold and hot environments and handle heavy equipment.
