About the role

General Overview: Calgary Sport and Social Club (CSSC) is a leading provider of sports throughout the city, with one of our most popular programs being our Outdoor Beach Volleyball leagues. We rely on our Beach Volleyball Coordinators (BVBCs) to be the faces of our Beach leagues, while playing an integral role in providing a superb playing experience to adult Calgarians! Daily responsibilities for this position include: General facility upkeep and oversight, maintenance of the Volleyball courts, interaction with CSSC Players and score reporting.

This is an ideal position for an individual who has volleyball experience and is seeking active, outdoor employment. If you enjoy meeting new people, working hard and being in the fresh air, this is the position for you! All BVBC shifts are in the afternoon and evenings, which leaves availability for you to fill your morning with classes or other activities.

Start Date: April 2026
End Date: September 2026
Hours: 35 - 40 hrs/week. Shifts usually 8 hours in length. Sunday-Thursday 2:30pm to 10:30pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Beach Volleyball facility set-up
  • Daily and seasonal maintenance of facility (including courts, nets, patios, and surrounding areas)
  • Monitor league volleyball games, solve problems and enforce Club policies
  • Regular manual labour tasks including sand maintenance, raking, and roto-tilling
  • Clarify rule discrepancies
  • Greet and direct players, read player announcements
  • Create and submit score sheets
  • Create a warm and energetic facility atmosphere
  • Assist with end-of-season facility take-down

  • Volleyball knowledge is an asset

Compensation Package

  • $20.00/hr. (includes base pay and season-end bonus)
