About the role

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Program Manager and under the direction of the physiotherapist, the Physiotherapist Aide is responsible for patient and departmental preparations, assisting the physiotherapists and physiotherapy assistants with specific, limited patient care activities as approved by the manager, and the management of supplies, linen and equipment in the department.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade 12/GED required
  • Previous ward/unit aide or patient attendant experience preferred
  • Current certification in WHIMIS
  • Basic knowledge of infection control
  • Prior experience ordering and stocking supplies
  • Prior experience ordering supplies in SAP or an alternate online order system asset
  • Demonstrated understanding of the importance of cleanliness in a hospital
  • Ability to establish good relationships
  • Good judgement and demonstrated initiative
  • Team player with effective communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer competency to fulfil job duties of electronic communication & clinic organization and online order entry
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Full Time Long Assignment; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
  • Approximate end date September 19, 2025; Dates are subject to change

Compensation and Benefits

$21.61 - $23.96 Hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan. (Permanent Long Assignments Only)
