About the role
Who you are
- 6+ years of professional experience designing web or mobile SaaS products, ideally with experience working in partnerships and integrations (or related fields)
- 2+ years of experience as a people manager, directly responsible for managing and mentoring designers
- Proven success in senior design or UX leadership roles within high-growth SaaS environments, collaborating across executive and IC levels
- Strong understanding of SMB and/or B2B audiences, with insight into diverse user needs and behaviours
- Expertise in both visual and interaction design, backed by a strong portfolio of polished, user-centered work
- Mastery of modern design tools (e.g. Figma, FigJam, ChatGPT, pencil & paper), with a clear sense of when and how to use them effectively
- Skilled in leading both qualitative and quantitative research to inform and validate design decisions; adept at synthesizing data to drive product direction
- A strategic thinker who aligns UX initiatives with product vision and business goals, and knows how to tell a compelling design story to stakeholders
- Experienced in cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to deliver cohesive, scalable experiences at speed
- Passionate about AI and future-forward technologies, with hands-on experience leveraging LLMs or other AI tools in both product and design workflows
- Actively engaged in the design community, with a strong network and commitment to talent development across all career stages

What the job involves
- As a key leader within the Platforms & Partnerships group on the Product team—and a valued member of Jobber’s broader Design team—you’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers to shape and grow Jobber’s product ecosystem
- Your work will focus on building best-in-class third-party software integrations, developer experiences, enterprise-scale solutions and software that reflects strategic business partnerships
- Product Design at Jobber is decentralized: you’ll lead design efforts alongside cross-functional partners within your group
- Platforms & Partnerships is a critical part of our business, building foundational tools and services that deliver measurable value to hundreds of thousands of service pros around the world
- Reporting to the Director of Product Design, you’ll play a key leadership role in shaping the future of Jobber’s integrations and partnership capabilities
- As a Manager of Product Design, you’ll partner closely with cross-functional leaders to define and drive a vision for app integrations, automated workflows, multi-unit franchises and third-party supply partnerships—all of which are core to expanding our platform’s value
- In this hybrid role, you’ll lead and mentor a team of designers while also contributing directly to the design and strategic direction of your group
- You’ll champion consistency across the Jobber product experience while also working to unlock new forms of value for our customers through thoughtful, scalable integration design

- You’ll help shape the long-term vision and north star for the Platforms & Partnerships group, ensuring our solutions drive meaningful outcomes for customers and the business
- You’ll lead with a deep understanding of user needs—uncovering pain points through research, surfacing opportunities, and validating concepts through testing
- From insight to execution, you’ll guide your team in delivering polished interfaces and seamless product experiences that raise the bar for customer success
- Act as a senior design leader within a cross-functional product group, managing creative, high-impact solutions that drive customer value across Jobber’s platform
- Manage and grow a team of 2–4 designers, providing coaching, mentorship, and regular performance feedback to support their career growth
- Build and inspire a high-performing design team by fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning
- Champion a customer-centric and data-informed design culture, leveraging qualitative and quantitative research to uncover insights and influence decisions
- Set and communicate a clear design vision for your team and stakeholders, shaping scalable solutions through research, wireframes, flows, prototypes, and detailed specs
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering leaders in the Platforms & Partnerships product groups to define a shared vision, align priorities, and deliver cohesive, high-quality user experiences
- Represent Design at the Leadership Team level, helping shape and drive our long-term UX strategy in alignment with company goals
- Showcase the impact of design through measurable outcomes, celebrating user experience wins and team achievements
- Strengthen Jobber’s design team by attracting top talent, supporting team visibility (e.g. speaking opportunities), and cultivating a strong external talent pipeline
