Job Description:
The accommodation representative will be responsible for completing administrative work necessary to collect revenue for preferred accommodation, uninsured, co-payment fees, specialty group fees, television and phone charges. Additional responsibilities consist of assistance with registration’s data quality program including reviewing and updating daily and monthly reports in conjunction with the Corporate Registration Manager. This role will be based at the Credit Valley Hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Interview patient/family to obtain insurance information and signatures
- Follow up and support as directed by Financial Services in recouping payment as required
- Run daily discrepancy reports and missing data reports to correct wrong or missing data
- Fix SDA-SDC transitions
- Review and correct all field criteria rejection prior to claim submission to insurance carrier
- Prepare monthly daily census ensuring it’s accuracy for submission to Ministry of Health
- Assist in registration data quality program using audit tools
- Must be available for some weekend and early evening duties
Qualifications:
- College or university degree or diploma in business or health related field preferred
- Previous registration/admitting experience in a health care organization preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in working with the public and other departments
- Solid knowledge of EPIC and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
