Our client, a prestigious business law firm, is seeking to recruit a Competitive Intelligence Advisor to support its growth initiatives and market intelligence capabilities. This opportunity is suited to an analytical and strategic professional who wishes to play a key role in anticipating market trends and strengthening the firm’s positioning.

The Role As a Competitive Intelligence Advisor, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and disseminating strategic information related to competitors, markets, clients and trends within the legal and professional services industry. You will work closely with firm leadership, business development and marketing teams, as well as practice groups.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze competitor activities, including hiring, mandates, transactions, and strategic positioning
- Conduct in-depth research on markets, industries, and key clients
- Produce analytical reports, competitor profiles, and strategic briefings
- Identify emerging trends and growth opportunities for the firm
- Support business development initiatives through targeted analyses and market insights
- Contribute to the preparation of strategic presentations and client materials
- Develop and maintain effective intelligence tools and processes
- Proactively disseminate relevant information to internal stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal teams to address ad hoc market intelligence requests
- Maintain ongoing media, regulatory, and sector monitoring
Requirements
- University degree in business administration, economics, law, communications, information science, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 to 7 years of experience in strategic intelligence, market intelligence, or competitive research
- Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is a significant asset
- Excellent research, analytical, and synthesis skills
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable strategic insights
- Strong intellectual curiosity and understanding of business dynamics
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Rigor, autonomy, and strong sense of confidentiality
- Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a demanding environment
- Bilingual (French/English)
