Cloud DevOps Engineer
About the role
Location: Onsite, 5 days/week Duration: 12-Month Contract Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking a skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team responsible for building, scaling, and maintaining modern cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise applications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys working with cloud-native technologies, automation, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices.
What You'll Do Design, implement, and enhance cloud infrastructure to improve scalability, reliability, and performance. Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud environments using AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Build and maintain Kubernetes-based container platforms. Develop and support Infrastructure-as-Code using tools such as Terraform, Helm, and Ansible. Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using modern deployment tools. Improve system observability, monitoring, and troubleshooting capabilities. Automate operational processes to reduce manual intervention and increase efficiency. Collaborate with software engineers, platform teams, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable cloud solutions. Participate in production support and an on-call rotation. Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices across the team.
Required Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering. Strong experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes environments. Solid Linux systems administration and networking knowledge. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Helm, or Ansible. Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or CircleCI. Experience with cloud monitoring, observability, troubleshooting, and incident response. Experience supporting microservices-based applications. Scripting experience with Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, or similar languages. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have Experience working alongside Data Engineers or Data Scientists. Experience building or supporting data pipelines and data platforms. Understanding of data engineering concepts and data architecture. Experience with relational and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with service mesh technologies and cloud-native architectures.
