About the role
Key Accountabilities
- The grandstand Maintenance Department is responsible for all preventative maintenance on all Heating & Air Conditioning units, plumbing, electrical, main building, barn and paddock maintenance, waste, water and drinking water treatment.
- This position requires every maintenance personnel to work diligently and to take other employee safety into consideration.
- Technical skills and ability to use various hand and power tools is an asset.
- Preparation and painting, lettering
- Use of Power Tools, using power tools, table saw, drill press, grinders
- Plumbing – clogged Drains, cleaning plugged drain with a plunger, using drain cleaner, and using a snake
- Chemical Usage - moving chemical containers and chemical usage
- Soldering (Plumbing) - soldering in plumbing
- Sewage Tank Cleaning - cleaning sewage tank
- Working Above 6’ - repairs above 6’, i.e. changing lights, painting, plumbing, electrical
- Cleaning Grease Trap - opening traps in cramped quarters
- Electrical Work in Barns - changing ballast’s, switches, receptacles, wires, etc.
- Also, must be able to read and write English and display excellent organizational and human relation skills.
- Preparation and painting
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Manages other initiatives as required
Education and Qualification Requirements:
- General Building Maintenance Experience
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule.
- The hours of work will be based on operational needs.
