This posting will be used to fill 1 Term full-time position, anticipatory permanent position, working 75 bi-weekly ending June 30th, 2028. It will establish a 12-month eligibility list which may be used to fill a permanent vacancy or similar positions.

Your role
Income Support Services (ISS) is looking for a motivated, passionate individual to work as a supervisor providing leadership, guidance and operational oversight to a multidisciplinary team delivering financial and social supports to vulnerable Yukoners. This position supports social workers, case managers and finance and administrative team navigating crisis response, complex case management, and generalist social work practice, while also overseeing financial processes, legislative compliance and service delivery standards. The role promotes a collaborative, client centered and trauma-informed approach while ensuring accurate and effective administration of income support programs. Experience supervising is required, as is knowledge of the Income Support programs, including Social Assistance, Yukon Seniors Income Supplement, and Pioneer Utility Grant. This position reports to the Manager of ISS and works alongside two other supervisors in a very collaborative, team-oriented environment.

- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related Human Services degree.
- Experience supervising in a social service-related position, including the oversight of staff, financial and administrative processes, program operations, and monitoring/evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation of person-centered and culturally appropriate services, preferably in the context of legislated services
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting and implementing legislation, regulations, and policies/procedures for equitable service delivery, preferably in the context of income support programs
