Course Description:

Ce cours offre aux étudiants des techniques de base de la conception graphique, en utilisant le logiciel Adobe et en traitant la composition, la mise en page, la gestion des fichiers, l'impact visuel, l’integration des polices et du texte et la lisibilité dans un contexte d'arts visuels. Il inclue certains des problèmes du dessin analytique, y compris une analyse des formes, des espaces, des relations entre les objets ou les parties de la composition, la lumière et les ombres, la texture, les détails clés et l'ensemble.

This course introduces students to some of the basic techniques of Graphic Design, using Adobe software and addressing composition, layout, file handling, visual impact, the integration of fonts and text, and legibility within a visual arts context. It includes some of the issues of analytical drawing including an analysis of shapes, spaces, relationships between objects or parts of the composition, light and shadows, texture, key details and the whole.

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

Requirements:

Maîtrise en arts visuels ou l'équivalent. Pratique reconnue et dossier d'exposition en peinture, en dessin et en art contemporain. Expérience en enseignement post-secondaire.

Master of Fine Arts or equivalent. Established reputation and exhibition record in painting, in drawing and in contemporary art. Teaching experience at post-secondary level.

Rate based on basic rate for a 3-credit course ($9 956).
