The City of Port Coquitlam has an excellent opportunity available to join our Finance team as an Accounting Clerk II. This full-time position reports to the Manager of Accounting Services and is responsible for completing a variety of functions in the processing and routine analysis of transactions and verification of various accounts.

Some of the key responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Perform account reconciliations and prepare journal entries

  • Prepare and issue invoices

  • Prepare and maintain a variety of records, files and specific year-end accounting working papers

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts

  • Provide accounting and finance support within the Unit4 ERP system

  • Performs other related duties as required.

The successful candidate for this position will have:

  • Graduated from Grade 12

  • Enrolled in or have completed a two-year Accounting Program

  • Two (2) years related experience
