- Be flexible and responsive to learner needs using appropriate instructional methodologies within an online learning environment.
- Provide appropriate instruction, support, evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students on the required learning platform (Brightspace).
- Plan and deliver content and learning activities that reflect the values, beliefs, needs, and contributions of a culturally diverse community.
- Manage the online learning platform to ensure an optimum learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with the Early Childhood Education program to maintain curriculum.
- Work co-operatively in an interdependent team environment.
- Follow policies and procedures adopted by Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
- Attend program and school meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE
Specific Accountabilities

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)

Recognized relevant four-year degree: Bachelor of Education (including a minor in Special Education, 15 credit hour Micro-credential in Special Education/Inclusive Education or a Certificate in Inclusive Education), Bachelor of Child and Youth Studies, or a Bachelor’s in Child Development.

Two years recent and relevant experience working in an inclusive setting supporting children with Autism.

Effective interpersonal skills.

Effective communication skills (both oral and written).

Effective instructional ability.

Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, online teaching, email, MS Office Suite software, and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.

Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.

Demonstrates valuing diversity.
