Froude Management Inc. (FMI) is looking for an experienced Project Coordinator for a wide range of ICI construction projects from start to finish. You will assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with organizing construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
An excellent Project Coordinator must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and coordinate a subcontractor of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills and is able to work in a fast pace environment.
Responsibility Assists project manager and superintendent with overall administrative functions and duties on large or several smaller projects/scopes, usually with a specific trade or area focus. This includes managing subcontracts and interfacing with the engineering design team and field staff to plan, execute, and problem-solve. Handle project administration, including RFIs, Submittals, Schedule updates, Change Order administration, and others. Assist project manager and superintendent in planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress against established schedules. Assist the pursuit team with the preparation of bid documents and proposals. Assist project manager with changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Assist the project manager with the development and implementation of quality control programs. Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to the superintendent and project manager. Assist project manager with tender and awarding subcontractors. Assist the superintendent with supervising the activities of subcontractors.
Job Skills & Qualifications · Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Construction Project Coordination in Vancouver, British Columbia. · Demonstrated competence in the areas of leadership, safety, people management, project execution, cost control quality, and administration. · Proactive problem-solver that can manage difficult situations. · Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal workplace compliance regulations, ordinances, legislation, and building codes. · Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask. · Advanced verbal and written communication skills. · Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships. · Ability to manage difficult situations.
