Harmac is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Sales Representative to help grow and support our Bulk customer base. In this foundational sales role, you will identify new business opportunities, build relationships with prospective customers, support existing accounts, and contribute directly to revenue growth objectives.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, driven, and eager to build a long-term career in sales within the bulk transportation and logistics industry. You will gain hands-on experience, work closely with experienced sales professionals, and develop the skills needed to grow into future roles.
Location: North York, ON
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 4:30pm
Type: In-office
Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 annual rate, based on experience. Benefits include health/dental, retirement savings plan, and paid training.
What You'll Do
Business Development
Identify and qualify new sales opportunities through outbound prospecting activities including phone calls, emails, social media outreach, and industry research. Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers within targeted market segments. Generate and schedule introductory meetings for senior sales personnel. Research customer operations and transportation requirements to identify potential opportunities.
Customer Relationship Management
Support existing customer accounts through regular communication and follow-up. Respond to customer inquiries regarding transportation services, capabilities, and solutions. Maintain accurate customer records and activity updates within Seaboard’s system. Assist with customer onboarding activities and account setup processes.
Sales Support
Assist with preparing pricing requests, quotations, proposals, and customer presentations. Coordinate with Operations, Customer Service, and Pricing teams to ensure customer requirements can be effectively serviced. Support contract renewals, general rate increase initiatives, and various customer retention initiatives. Assist with RFP submissions and sales-related administrative activities.
Performance & Reporting
Maintain a consistent level of outbound prospecting activity. Track and report sales pipeline development and lead generation metrics. Meet established activity and opportunity generation targets. Provide monthly and quarterly sales reports.
What You'll Bring
Education
Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
Experience
3 to 5 years of business-to-business experience in sales, customer service, transportation, logistics, or business development. Previous experience in transportation or logistics is considered an asset but not required.
Skills & Competencies
Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities. Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow in a sales career. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Professional phone and email etiquette. Analytical mindset with the ability to identify customer needs and business opportunities.
